Company History
Like most successful companies, we
started very small. In
fact, we began serving the electrical needs for
multi-family
residential in June 1967. We had a truck and a part-time
secretary, little or no capital but a drive to maintain quality,
service
and fair pricing. Gradually we began to add the best
people available in
the area. In 1970, we moved into an
office/warehouse at 2413 Euclid Ave.
and began to add space
and more people. In 1978 we leased and eventually
purchased
a building at 2425 South Boulevard and built a lighting
showroom, Unique Showplace.
In 1980, we added 5000 more
feet of space, which we felt would fill our
needs for many
years. However, with the development of eight more
sub-divisions, we quickly outgrew this facility. In 1983 we
purchased 7 acres of land on South Boulevard, which is our
present
location. We currently have 34,000 sq. ft. under roof
and employ more
than 150 people. By anyone’s standard, we
have grown rapidly and still
maintained the basic values that
we started with.
Today, Frye Electric Company is one of
the largest
residential electrical contractors in the Charlotte area.
Our
emphasis on coordination and communication with the builder
has kept
us as the premier electrical contractor for most of
Metrolina’s
quality builders. These accomplishments and the
ability to provide these
quality products and services over the
years took skilled and dependable
people, leadership from a
number of managers and vision from everyone.
We use this
vision to continue to evaluate our strengths and weaknesses,
and especially to keep our eyes on the future. Frye Electric
Company is
a family owned and operated business.
